If you’re looking for something outdoorsy, why not take a trip to Sunken Meadow State Park? This beautiful park offers playground games, walking trails, and stunning views of the Long Island Sound. You can also check out Belmont Lake State Park for some fun in the sun! There are plenty of hiking trails and picnic areas for you to explore.
If you’re looking for something more adventurous, head over to WildPlay Element Park in Wantagh. Here you can test your agility on their obstacle courses or take a zip line ride through the trees!
For those who prefer water activities, try kayaking or seal hikes at Hither Hills State Park. Maybe plan ahead and take the family to Hither Hills for a weekend camping trip filled with s’mores and ghost stories around the campfire.
For something more educational, visit the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City. This museum offers interactive exhibits about aviation history as well as an IMAX theater where you can watch educational films about space exploration.
